Well it's been a long 8 months but we finally have finished our game Black Lung. It's been an incredible experience that has taught me so much about game making. I'd say this project is one of the most important moments in my life because of the things I've learned and the people I've worked with. I look forward to continuing my work with games, and hopefully with the Black Lung team.
I'd like to dedicate this paragraph to thanking the people that have made this project happen. First up, i'd like to thank the members of the Scar games team, Andrew Kiefer, Stephan Herholdt, and Rhianwen O'Grady. Without these people there definitely would not be Black Lung. I also feel as though I should be thanking Adrian Forest along with the Scar games team because he has been with us since the start of the project and has contributed a lot to the game. Even though he was only there for half the project, Martin Tapia-Vergara has helped quite a bit with the project.
Special thanks go out to our external members: Alec Shea, Benjamin Wardle, Matt Dodds, Ruben Stoney, Josh Watson, Willow Nightingale; the amazing music they produced gave Black Lung an incredible atmosphere and made it so much more enjoyable to explore. Thanks to our extra modeller and 3D animator, Daniel Springall; he gave us our beautiful birdies and arms :D which looked so cool in-game. Thanks to our voice actors Cody Muller and Courtney Murrin; the animatics were desperately needing a voice and you provided that voice.
Other special mentions go to Kiri Steep, for giving up her time and being there every week to playtest the game, as well as all the other testers who came in.
Black Lung will be an experience i'll never forget. It's been my first proper game that's been finished and polished. I'll be able to cherish it even more with the cool hard copy games that Andrew made us :D
