The game is currently ready for user testing, This Friday some Tri 4 students will be coming in to play test Black Lung where we will observe their play style and anything we may need to adjust. I'm hoping it won't be too much as there is still quite a lot of testing and fixing to do on my end, but anything to make the game a better experience. The most important thing I think is to remind them and let them know that the game is a narrative adventure, and not to expect lots of surprises or anything.
All the functionality we were aiming for is complete, so now I'm waiting on all the audio to be levelled correctly and then the audio can be implemented, which I am really excited about. So far the audio guys have all been fantastic and have recorded some amazing tracks which suit the game, I really can't wait to include them.
The toughest thing that I've had to work around with at this time is balancing the family health values. I have made myself a scene which allows you to check how the family will do depending on how much you send, all with 2 clicks of a button. This has made balancing much easier for now, but it's not going to require much more when we get our testers in. Sometime this week soon, I will be posting more images and a story behind a new play through.
